disappointed May 5, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this sheet set thinking that it was a great deal for 400 thread-count sheet set. As soon as I received the sheet set, I washed it and put it on the bed. I was so pleased at how soft it felt and what a great fit it was for a pillow top mattress. However, within 2weeks, I noticed little "pills" on the mattres sheet. After washing again, the "pills" were still there and the sheets now have a scratchy feel to them. I am very disappointed.
Bad Sheets May 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We ordered a queen size set of sheets for a wedding present. When they arrived we opened them to see about the quality before wrapping them to give, and the material was all wrinkles and the sides were not square, they were not cut straight, did not fit square on the bed, and looked silly. They would have been an embarasment to have given to someone. We will use them ourselves rather than to go through the hassel of a return, but it will make us think twice aboutordering anything else from Amazon. Frank VanLiew
Great sheets for a fantastic price May 4, 2008 Love the color and the feel. Bought 3 sets, one for me, one for my Mom and one for a friend. Looking rfor other colors to purchase.
Just as Sweet as Can Be for A Low Price Tag! April 29, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Just got these today -- They've been washed and ready to go (new bed is being delivered today, so I needed new sized sheets). And without sleeping on them, I will tell you that they absolutely compare to the high end Wamsutta sheets I purchased for my old bed last fall for about $120 (for a Cal King - also 400 tc). The feel is wonderful and smooth and soft to the touch. They are not thin, you can feel a thickness to them without the weight. They did come out of the dryer a bit wrinkly, but that is completely normal for higher tc sheets. Admittedly, I don't usually iron my sheets -- but for a brand new bed and with some time to kill, I ironed the flat sheet and it ironed like a dream!! So, if that matters to you, these are great. I won't comment on color, because it depends on your computer and your room scheme. All I can say is that I got exactly the color I expected (which is good). I am going to now purchase a second set of these as I know they are wonderful, and an uber great bargain.
What A Relief! April 23, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
There were no reviews on these sheets when I purchased them so I took the plunge with the reduced price. It's interesting but with Egyptian cotton entering the market and higher thread counts, expect wrinkles. I saw that when I gave them the "wash" test. It is inevitable. The stitching on this set of sheets is excellent so I did not have to be concerned about unraveling. The feel is comfortable and in line with 400 thread count sheets. The sateen gives it a sheen that is nice. So far it is not "pilly" or whatever the word is for disgusting lumps that form on fabric. The fit on the mattress is very good with depth that can accommodate deeper mattresses. The size is perfect. The pillowcases are not to tight and not too loose with great stitching. Color is just color. You are buying off the internet. I am happy with my color. Looks like the photo ~sage.
