Keeps baby warm and cozy December 30, 2007 This product is pretty easy to use, and baby likes being wrapped up in it. He sleeps soundly for a couple hours at a time (he's only a few weeks old) and I don't have to worry about anything coming undone to block his breathing. Love the price too!
nice product December 16, 2007 This product is like swaddling for dummies! It is great for those who have problems swaddling babies with a traditional blanket. It makes it very easy to calm a screaming baby!
Absolutely a must December 11, 2007 Let's face it, you have a newborn and tons of dresses, etc. Do you really need them? Don't think so, as mostly it's a wrap you will be having, etc. Now, the problem with wraps is that invariably the legs "shoot" out, sooner or later, the blankets get tangled and there's a pronounced risk of SIDS due to suffocation. On these aspects, this product is a life-saver. The velcro tags get attached wonderfully and tucks the legs in too. The baby also loves it as there's no creases, etc. which is pitching him/her somewhere. A HIGHLY recommended product.
There are 2 sizes - big and small. They do have a difference. I think the small suffices till 3 or 4 months. The big's not required much since by that time you'll need to figure out if your baby likes/dislikes such wraps, or prefers clothes, etc. etc. Don't try to use the big on a newborn though. It's too big and the newborn will effectively "swim" inside!! Finally, the velcro tabs won't fit and thus you'll have troble attaching them.
We love the SwaddleMe! November 29, 2007 This is my 5th baby and we've just discovered swaddle blankets. I haven't tried the more expensive options because this one works like a charm. It does a great job of keeping my sweet boy comfortably swaddled. His hands stay in there really well, but I don't feel like it's uncomfortably tight. The fabric has a tiny bit of stretch to it, which I like, so he can adjust his position a little bit. We haven't had any problems with the velcro coming undone at all. I also like the way this product washes. It didn't shrink or get fuzzy balls and the velcro works as well after a washing as it did before. I HIGHLY recommend this product! I can see us getting the next bigger size once he outgrows this one. Oh, and my baby was 9 lbs. and 22 inches at birth and is now 10 lbs. He fit immediately at birth and still fits perfectly in this blanket.
Wish they made these bigger November 19, 2007 Used this swaddler until my son was about 3 months old. I wish they made them larger, because I would still swaddle him if I could. Loved this swaddler. He could eventually wiggle out of it, but I learned to do it really tight, so it took a while. But he loved it, and after a while, calmed down as soon as I put him in it. Really sad he outgrew it.
