Thanks for a Great Watch January 15, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have skin allergies, and was not able to find a watch that I could have on my skin until I found this watch. The price of the watch could not be beat, for the chance that I could not have it on. Thank you for suppling a great watch.
Almost perfect January 10, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'd give it 4.5 stars, if I could.
Love the slim design - I hardly know I'm wearing it. Keeps great time. Looks much more expensive than it is.
Con: No light on the watch face making it hard or impossible to read in the dark.
I recommend it for a wonderful "dress-up" watch.
Awesome time piece January 9, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm a picky person when it comes to watches. And I'm very rough with them. This watch has far exceeded my expectations on all accounts. Its so light I often forget I'm even wearing a watch. I've gotten several comments on it as well. The only negative thing I can say about this watch is that the mesh material of the band is difficult to get water out of. I useally take mine off to wash my hands.
Overall its a good looking, well made, tough time piece.
Excellent Watch! January 5, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm a bit of a gadget freak, and watches definitely fall into my gadget obsession. I was hooked by the look of the mesh bands Skagen uses, the blue face was just a bonus. It's extremely thin and light. In fact it's so light that it makes you forget you are wearing it, especially compared to the Fossil and Relic watches that I also own. This watch far exceeded my expectations, especially in the build quality category. It is nickel-free for those with allergies (this is a feature that tends to be difficult to find in watches), has a "mineral crystal" which is supposed to be harder and more scratch resistant. So far so good with the scratch resistance. I did notice one area of the band where it scratched my skin a bit. Turns out that there was a crimped metal covering that protected the end of the mesh that wasn't fully crimped. I was able to fix this quickly with a Dremel, as I couldn't seem to get it to crimp properly with a pair of pliers. It could have just been the shape of my wrist that was exaggerating the problem, so I gave the benefit of the doubt and am still rating this watch 5 stars! I love this watch, and am guessing that you won't be disappointed. The price was right, too.
Looks and feels great December 27, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I first saw this watch in a jewelry store - it looked expensive and I didn't even bother to check the price. Came across it later online and couldn't believe how reasonable the cost was - have always wanted an ultrathin watch but didn't want to spend a lot and wasn't looking for a showy jewelry watch. This is a great in-between watch; looks fabulous, the thin face and mesh band are really comfortable, but wasn't so expensive that I'm afraid to wear it. Same basic Chinese guts as every other digital watch - which means that it keeps perfect time and I can easily pop the back off and replace the battery myself.
Update Oct. 2, 2007: Less than a year old, the watch began stopping every few days. Several battery replacements had no effect. So I took them up on their lifetime guarantee, sent the watch to their service center. A week later they returned it to me with not only new works, but a new crystal and back cover, all resealed. Can't ask for better service than that!
