Great scissors for tough jobs October 28, 2008 These are great scissors to use if you want to save wear and tear on your hands when tackling tough tasks. I bought them specifically because I needed to cut several templates out of thick plastic. I thought at first they were too delicate for the task but they worked like a champ. Saved me several hours of work. Don't know how long they will last but they did the job I bought them for. They work great for cutting open the blister packs that many items are packed in today.
Not at all up to par October 24, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My wife bought these for me as I have great difficulty doing some tasks with pain in my hands, She was hoping this would relieve the problem of using the scissors. The scissors are comfortable and easy to handle, However they are worthless at cutting. Paper just flops and bends between the blades, There is not enough tension to hold the paper tightly
Black & Decker Cordless Power Scissors SZ360 October 24, 2008 This item was hard to find in our local hardware stores, I would rather be in a fabric store! I am so glad, to be referred to amazon to find many items. Thanks for the reasonable price and the speedy delivery. I now share this with another quilter, my friend lilly, who has a vision problem. This handy tool helps her speed cut her fabrics. Again, thank you. 'lil grandma
Buyer Beware October 15, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The positive reviews were so glowing that I gave it a try. I couldn't cut cotton, much less tile or whatever some of the materials are that were mentioned. I kept it only because it was too much trouble to return it. Maybe one day I'll need a fancy pair of useless scissors to cut some paper. Maybe it will do that.
wimpy cutters October 12, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought these on Aug. 12, 2008, and I've been extremely disappointed with them. They don't work well at all on the plastic clamshells - the blades are a bit too short so it takes a lot of working from different angles before finding one that lets them grab an edge, and then they just don't have the power to cut through the thicker areas. To add insult to injury, they don't hold a charge for very long and they can't be used at all while charging, so half the time I have to put the item aside and wait for these scissors to charge - or just give up and go get the box cutter.
