| Customer Reviews:
Low Price = Low Quality! September 8, 2008 I've been buying these shoes from Target for a number of years. Over the past year or so it has become harder and harder to find them in the store, so I began ordering them online. I received my last pair of Pro Spirit shoes on or about August 12. I wear them for walking about 2 miles, four to five days a week. I threw them away on August 31 because the heels had begun collapsing. I'm not sure what has happened in the manufacture of these shoes but the quality has gone from bad to worse.
If you weigh over 150 pounds do not buy these shoes!
Caveat Emptor January 26, 2008 Be aware that, with these sneakers especially, you get what you pay for. I bought a pair at a Target and they fell apart after after only two weeks. First, the shoelaces tore through the eyelets on one shoe. Then, the heel on one of the shoes began to collapse, which was understandable, since it was being supported by a cardboard (!) lattice. Next, the clear plastic inserts you see on the back of the shoe began popping out. Finally, the sole and the top of the shoe began to separate.
Now, it's not like I was performing athletic feats of derring-do or the like, I was simply wearing them to walk to and from work (maybe a mile a day). So yes, these sneakers are cheap--in both senses of the word.
Good for the price it comes January 24, 2008 I was looking for a cheaper running show and i found this one the cheapest. I didn't think that it would be good. Because the 19$ one i saw in Sears was worse than this. Anyway i thought i would go for the cheapest. And i have been using in running in treadmill.no issues at all..i found the lower pad to be a bit tight..but while running it was absolutely ok..So if someone is ok with a white look shoe, then i think this is their best bet at the price it comes.
AS i have used for a month, so i don't know about the long term sustainability..So that is one factor it needs to be tested against.
