Best sandals EVER! August 22, 2008
I have a pair of these that I purchased about 14 years ago when I lived in CA. Since then, I have had the soles replaced several times and the footbed+soles at least twice. The leather straps are finally wearing out so it is time for a new pair. This is pretty much the only shoe I wear during the summer. They are extremely comfortable (it does take a few days for them to conform to your foot when new) and durable (I don't have any other shoes/sandals that have lasted this long). I like the back strap on these because it doesn't feel like they are going to come off like the two strap version does at times. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good pair of sandals that will be comfortable and last a long time.

I am delighted with my new Birks. They are the same excellent quality as any Birkenstocks and cost considerably less. Whenever I need new ones (every 7 years!)I will get again get them through Amazon. I am on a small fixed income. What a deal! Thanks.
