Product Description The "Berkley" by Florsheim business casual slip-on shoe is made with a genuine hand sewn moccasin construction, leather upper, and durable leather sole. This traditional beef-roll penny loafer is a classic in men's footwear styling.
Product Description Simply the standard, Florsheim's Berkley penny loafer is a must-have part of your footwear collection. Paired with workday suiting or alongside khakis, no socks, this slip-on is a fashion warrior that always looks great and is never out of place. Its buffed leather has great finish, a leather outsole lends refinement, and a rubber-enforced heel adds durability and tames heel strikes for greater comfort.

Avoid these. Leather surface peels off! October 30, 2008 I bought a pair of these, believing that florsheim had a good reputation. I put them on and wore them for about an hour. I wore them in the house while watching TV, so there was no stress or strain on the shoe. The surface of the leather stared peeling off of the toe area, as if these shoes had a bad paint job. I returned the shoes and got a replacement pair, assuming this had to be a fluke. When I received the replacements, the same thing happened, this time within 15 minutes of slipping them on. Avoid these cheaply made shoes. Maybe I'll try Johnston & Murphy next.

Florsheim has always produced quality shoes although the shoes are not produced in the United States. The penny loafer is the most appealing shoe style. Buy a wider size than you would normally take. If your normal size is 9B, buy a 9D because sizing seems to be narrow.
Florshiem Loafer July 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I currently wear a Bostonian loafer with a leather sole and it wears well. I purchased this Florshiem loafer with a hard sole and it wears great also. The Bostonian is black and the Florshiem is burgandy. They are both a compliment to my activities. They both feel like a dress shoe should feel and they walk like a wingtip.
