not very comfortable October 21, 2008 These were hardly what I would expect from Birkenstock. I ralize the cost was pretty cheap, but the comfort waulity of the sandle was very disappointing. The shoe is made sturdily, but inside (where my foot goes) was poorly engineered. The foot-base which on regular Birkenstocks is usually quite soft and comfortable was rough and annoying, while the inside by the sdie of my foot was uneven and raouhg as well. I finally wound up putting some tape inside to alleviate some of the rubbing. may after a few months of wear they might soften up a bit. Again, you get hwat you pay for.
manly shoe September 19, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I tried 2 different sizes of this shoe and thought they just didn't look right on me (a woman). too big and clunky. i think this shoe is better suited for a man. they are of sturdy quality and i think well worth the price.
TERRIBLE September 15, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a terrible shoe; thick heavy straps; difficult to adjust to tighten; feel like boxcars even though they offered no 1/2 sizes so I ordered a half size smaller than I usually wear. I returned the shoes!!
stop and think,,,, September 7, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
These shoes are well constructed, but there is one thing that I hadn't quite realized. It takes a major effort with stiff buckles to put them on and take them off. If you like to kick sandals on and off, these are not the sandals for you.
I have got them adjusted very loose now, and I can sort of slip them on and off, but they are loose walking in. Makes you appreciate velcro....
Sturdy but not super confortable September 3, 2008 At $49.95 they are great value for money. They are sturdy and good looking. The sole is not the softest. Don't expect much of a cushion, but they will not break before at least 10 years!
