Size Matters August 7, 2006
Birks are a wonderful product but you have to have the patience to wear them until they conform to your feet. They're better made than other sandals, the straps and buckles don't seem to cut into my feet like other sandals do. I did have a problem with the retailer, BuyShoe. com, because they're sizing chart is in error. Because Birks use the European measurement, a conversion from US sizes is needed. This retailer asked you to measure your foot and then order the Birks from their size table. I did exactly what they told me to and ended up ordering a pair that were 2 full sizes larger than I needed. The retailer exchanged the sandals but it was an annoyance.
