Right for me, maybe for you? May 21, 2008 Ok, this is partially a reply to some of the less nice reviews on this item...
I am on my second pair of these shoes and I have to say I really like them. The 135$ price at the local mall is to me well worth it. As did the first pair, these have formed to my feet quite well and are very comfortable. The only explanation I can come up with for some of the negative statements is this: Clothing is standardized, people are not. Even if the shoe seems to be the "right size" it may not necessarily be the "right fit". It is my opinion that two people of the exact same "Size" may have completely different opinions of something like this. Infinite variations of walking style, weight distribution, posture etc. all go into determining whether or not these will be comfortable for you. I cannot promise that you will like them, I know only what I have experienced. And thus far these shoes have performed wonderfully for me. When this pair wears out, I will buy another.
They meet the definition of shoes, but you'd never want them on your feet. October 17, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't think I've ever worn a less comfortable pair of shoes. I don't expect perfection out of the box (although really high quality shoes require little if any "break-in"), but these are fundamentally flawed in their design.
I have owned many dress shoes and in addition to my own knowledge and experience, I employed the services of the shoe salesman in determining the proper size so that was not the issue. They are simply made of the cheapest leather and constructed in the worst possible manner.
Even if there were some way I could return these shoes (which there is not because I had to wear them to find out how awful they are after a day of normal activity), the money I would be reimbursed would do little to heal the massive sores on the backs of my ankles.
Not sure what the previous issue was? December 21, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have recently bought my 4th pair of these shoes. I absolutely love them! They mold to you foot relatively quickly and are extremely comfortable especially for people in the Sales industry that are constantly standing for presentations or Trade Shows etc. Great Product! Only down side I have experienced is the finish is shiny so you do need to polish them every so often.
Cole Haan Sucks, don't buy them April 29, 2006 0 out of 11 found this review helpful
I bought the exact pair from Dillard's, and it stayed in my closet for a month. When I took them for trip, they didn't break in correctly. Ohh, it killed my foot. I went back to Dillard and they wouldn't take it back because the try-out period expired. Then I became interested in the quality of Cole Haan's shoe, I did research in other kinds of shoes from Cole Haan. I realized it sucks with such poor designs. Be careful to choose this brand.
