I thought this was going to be a great deal on a fashionable and simple digital watch with the secondary time zone a selling point for me along with the price--boy, was I wrong!
1. When I opened the Lanvin cardboard box containing the watch itself, all the pieces of the inner metal/plastic box came sliding out separately--the watch was still fastened to its flimsy cardboard strip and also came sliding out on its own along with the pieces;
2. Although I found a small Lanvin card congratulating me on my good taste in ordering the item, as well as a brief foldout from Amazon explaining possible watch issues and their return policy on watches, there was NO instruction booklet for the watch!
3. due to #2, I felt confident I could set up the watch on my own, having considerable experience in watches, and I was able to change the secondary time zone using the upper left and right recessed buttons with my Swiss Army knife toothpick (problem was, I couldn't tell what some of the 3-character time zone codes were as NO booklet!). However, when I attempted to change the primary time using the same type of buttons, abeit the lower ones, as soon as I touched the left one, the readout went haywire and the watch went dead;
4. Add to that the band was a little too small for my wrist (I'm 300 lbs. and 6' tall) and it was of a cheap rubber quality (I know, I know, the description on the item page states rubber, but STILL)...
I have returned the watch to Amazon for a full refund and am looking at the Giordano LED one as a replacement and will hope it won't turn out to be ANOTHER "fashionable great deal"!
