Scratchy--doesn't feel like 440 thread count! January 5, 2009 meganhead These sheets are more scratchy than other 440 thread count sheets I have had. These sheets feel more like 200 thread count. Even after washing, the sheets are still rough. I ordered the color Saddle, and it is a few shades darker than what appears in the picture.
Inflated thread count - No bargain December 29, 2008 M. A. Hudson (Seattle, WA USA) You get what you pay for. These sheets are not 440 thread count. Google "thread count" and you'll come across articles that discuss how some sellers inflate thread count to increase sales. I think these sheets belong in that category. They're not smooth and tight like sheets with this high a thread count should be. They're OK for the price but I won't buy this Brand again.
Decent, but not fantastic. December 27, 2008 H. Katz (Linden, NJ USA) I really love the rich color of these sheets (aubergine) and simple design because they look absolutely fabulous. However, I give a three-star rating because I am not that thrilled with the feel of these sheets. I have purchased 400+ thread-count sateen sheets before, but these happen to be rather stiff, even after a handful of washings. They aren't that bad, but do not meet my expectations. I even got "rug-burn" after having first used them. Next time I buy sheets I'm going with Egyptian Cotton.
Happy with this product December 3, 2008 Ima Goober 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read many other customers' reviews. They were mixed. However my experience has been quite positive. My better half thinks flannel sheets are wonderful because he is obsessed with "soft" linens. Even he admits that these are good. No they are not going to be velvetly. If that is your definition of soft, then you may not like these. My set does not have the cardboard feel that some others reported. They are soft enough to touch and roll around on. They have so far maintained their color quite well. Both of us have found them quite comfortable for sleeping. thumbs up.
What a great price for a great set of sheets!! September 29, 2008 Travis Yi (Seattle, WA) I was unsure about the quality of these sheets but purchased them because of the decent reviews they have received from other Amazon customers. I must say that these are some of the most comfy sheets I have ever purchased. They are extremely soft and durable, especially after the first few washes. You really can not beat these sheets for the price. Knowing how nice they are now, I would have paid more.
