Sooooooo thick and soft! January 5, 2009 CRB (Puyallup, WA USA) I bought two of these shams and the matching twin duvet for my 4 year old son's bed. I paid like 17 for the duvet and 11 for the two shams. I feel I got a great deal considering I was replacing an llbean duvet that I wasn't impressed with for the price I paid. I am much more impressed with the Pinzon duvet and it was less than half the price! It is much thicker to me and with the matching shams which I use as just pillowcases for his bed (because they were so cheap), it makes a lovely set. I just use a random fitted flannel sheet with it and he's good to go. It is so warm and cozy in there when I'm reading stories to him at night! This was my first Pinzon bedding purchase and I will be buying more for his and our room, we LOVE the flannel up here in WA! One more thing, the sham fit the pillows very snug which I felt was a plus because it made the pillow more fluffy. And with a sham instead of a regular pillowcase, you don't have to be shaking the pillow back into the case always when straightening the bed.
Pillowcase!?!? But not blackwatch Tartan! December 16, 2008 J. C. M. Bannerman (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I own some other duvet covers from large mail order merchants known for their flannel sheets. These compare very well to ones from from them at a lower cost. A set of flannel pillowcases from these merchants will run you more than this costs. Trust a Scotsman! Now, I also wear the kilt and have tartans in my kilt wardrobe, which makes me a tartanphile. I prefer my duvet covers to be tartan than just plain, or any other pattern than tartan. So, you can disregard the rest of this review if you are not too picky about what tartan graces your bed. On the other hand, this isn't a proper Black watch. I did have to admit that I was chuffed to see the white stripe, hoping this would be Forbes (my tartan). On the other hand, this looks more like some sort of Lamont: kind of a dark ancient version of the tartan. That means the picture is sort of correct, but the blue is a hair darker than it looks. I would have loved it if these were Forbes Tartan since a Kinloch-Anderson Forbes Duvet cover runs around US$500. Nevermind, these are a great deal at this price and I am glad I bought 4 of the Duvet covers! I have put these in my basket for after Christmas.
Over priced pillowcase November 10, 2008 Michael A. Kelley (Vista, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is no doubt of very quality; however, if you are expecting a sham - you will be disappointed. It is simply and over priced pillowcase.
