Washed sheets right after receiving them and they remained soft and held their color. They are well worth the money and feel fantastic.

Very soft and VERY luxurious to sleep on. It looks perfect with the Duvet set from the Hotel Collection. Pillows are very soft and the sheets are perfect.

I have slept on a wide variety of sheets, from the Trump Plaza hotel to 20 year old flannel sheets that should have been thrown out a decade ago. Of course, most of the sheets I've used have been somewhere in the middle, but these sheets are certainly at the high-higher end of any sheets I've slept on.
I washed them as soon as I got them, and they kept their rich color and softness, and, as many sheets, came out even softer than when we originally opened the packaging.
They are very "neutral" sheets in person -- they will go with almost any darker color scheme -- there are no surprises with them, they are just a basic chocolate color with no patterns or fancy textures, which I personally like about them.
For $49.99, these certainly blow comparably priced sheets out of the water. If you go to TJ Maxx, most of their sheet sets are around $40 for Chaps (low rent Ralph Lauren), Nautica, or something similar.
These sheets are probably a cut or two above the higher-end retail sheets you can get at TJ Maxx for around $40 or $50, so, they're definitely not worth the suggested retail (what? close to $200?), but they are definitely a bargain, as I would say that they are probably worth more in the $80-$120 area based on my experience.
And, as an aside, don't get fooled by the "thread count game." Any sheets over roughly 300 or 400 TC are, for almost all purposes, exactly the same as sheets in the 700 - 1000 TC $150+ range. There is no ascertainable difference -- once you get to a thread-per-square-inch of around 400 TC, you cannot tell the difference, at all, between 300 or 400 TC and 1000 TC. Don't get fooled.
