 Nice, with caveats... October 4, 2008

I like the fabric, and the fill rate is just right for 4 seasons (and I live in Michigan). I was thrilled with the price, and it fills my needs perfectly. Two caveats:
1--Yes, a few feathers have escaped already. That's a little unusual, since I've only been using it for a few weeks, but there isn't a mass exodus, so I'm cool with it.
2--The tag on the comforter says "DRY CLEAN ONLY." Now, I bought this set specifically BECAUSE it was touted as machine washable. And puppy puked on it last night. I like it, so I'm holding out on throwing it in the washer because the tag insinuates that it could ruin it. So I had to pull out all the stops with the topical cleaners in order to clean it. I would've rather thrown it in the washer.
Anyone else out there see the "DRY CLEAN ONLY" tag and wash it anyway? What happened?

I needed a light cover for summer and since I am a fan of down/feather products, I thought this was a great buy on sale. Hmm... The price is great but not if you can't use the blanket. The feathers are very spiky and the blanket does not give you that restful feeling. Do not bother unless you like being poked all over.

HORRIBLE! I would not recommend this to anyone. It was great the first night I used it, then it leaked feathers everywhere! i can't even get a good night's rest because of feathers poking me. There are feathers EVERYWHERE!

I decided to buy this set because of the price and we needed a nice twin set for our guest bedroom. The color they had on sale was exactly what we were looking for. The bedding arrived quickly. It fluffed up quickly when I put it on the bed. The matching sham was a nice touch.

Agree with some other reviews. The feathers do poke out after just a little use and they hurt! Haven't noticed feathers covering the room yet though. But it is a nice thin comforter which is great for summer time. I'm pretty sure it will wind up as a dog bed when winter comes.
