Excellent value for oversized duvet October 2, 2008

I bought 2 of these duvets last week--one in each color. I had planned to keep one and send the other back after seeing the color, but once I opened the first duvet I decided to keep both. The fabric is ultra soft and light-weight, so you don't have to worry about it making your comforter heavier/warmer than it already is.
The colors were difficult to make out on the amazon listing, so that's why I bought one of each... The mercury is a sagey-silver (as one reviewer pointed out) and the oyster gray is really a light taupe. I like both colors--they are light and I think they will work well with just about anything.
The size of the comforter is perfect for my 108x98" king-sized comforter--the duvets are just slightly bigger but work well. I had been using a 104x92" duvet and it caused my comforter to ball up in places, creating hot spots.
I won't address the shams because we don't plan to use them...but they are the same lightweight fabric and appear to be well made.
I can't recommend this product enough--we have 2 Biltmore king-sized sheet sets and we love the quality and fabric of those as well, so we decided to give these a try. Several other duvets I had looked at were double in price, or more. Few are this size--be sure to check the dimensions. I've been waiting for over a year to find a duvet to fit my comforter that isn't ridiculously overpriced. Good quality for low price--you can't argue with that!

Fits our oversized king down comforter like a dream, oh so soft! The egyptian cotton sateen is sooooo wonderful!
The colors are pretty, and since oversize covers are so expensive and these arent', we got one in every color to keep! Amazing covers!

A lovely item, and so well made. However the Full/Queen turned out to be a Queen size, so they are a couple to few inches too large. My recommendations would be to not order unless you specifically need it in a Queen size. The package is marked as a Queen, too. Just speculating, but if you order, you could possibly get a Full instead of a Queen.

I virtually never do these reviews, but since the info was pretty incomplete on the website, I thought I'd clarify:
1) the queen size duvet (like the king) is oversized. the package states it is 90 X 98, which exactly fits the oversized pinzon pyrenees comforter i got on amazon.
2) i don't know why they call this color "oyster grey." the beige color shown on the website is pretty accurate.
and yes, as others have said, the fabric is fairly soft, and the workmanship is good.
