Magnets have a very firm grip to the board. I threw these darts pretty hard and none of them bounced off, some of them even stuck to the side when I hit the corner!
The surface of the board is flat and feels very durable.
The darts have a magnet tip with a plastic pliable mesh handle that mirrors the look, feel and shape of a Chinese finger trap. The tails of the darts feel very fragile but even with a tug they did feel securely connected with the magnet base. I even played a few rounds by throwing the darts by the tail, in a tomahawk like throwing fashion, and they didn't seem to have any ill effects.
Make sure that the board is securely hung on the wall.
Do not use nails to hang this board because the pulling off of the darts can and probably will loosen the board from the wall. Use screws.
This toy does not come with any hanging material.
This is a quality toy that is fun for the whole family.

First, no blister packing or twist-ties: thank you! The darts stick firmly and don't bounce off. My 7-year-old loves it. The darts perhaps don't fly as well as finned, pointed darts, but if you want safe fun for little ones, this is an excellent set.

These are really strong magnets which prevent a lot of the frustration you may have experienced with other sets. The darts actually stay on the board!

This is a vast improvement over other child-safe dart games, and the board's 3-D graphics were so convincing I had to touch it to realize it was all a flat, smooth surface.
The darts really are very well weighted, and throw true. Board requires some consideration on its mounting location: the darts are heavy, and will put small dents in drywall.
