Cheap Surge Protector December 9, 2008 The surge protector doesn't have anything special about it. It has a short cord, no room is left for bigger plugs (except maybe the last one). I first thought that it arrived dead because no power went through but as I wanted to throw it out, I noticed that there was a switch hidden next to the power cord to turn it on. It is the first surge protector that I have seen that doesn't have the switch at the top. At least it was cheap and does what is supposed to do and if you don't want a light on your surge protectors than this is probably a good choice for you.
Perfect for what I needed it for. November 23, 2008 I needed this for my bedside table, for my alarm clocks, cell phone charger, lamp, etc. It is perfect for little things like that. The cord is very short but for what I need to use it for that is okay. I wouldn't use it for anything other than something small like that.
The main downside to it is that it doesn't have a flatter plug. Several surge protectors have that now so it fits closer to the wall, and since this will be going in behind my bed I would've preferred that. That is why it lost a star. Otherwise, it suited my needs perfectly.
Well, it works... November 18, 2008 I didn't find anything wrong with this surge protector so far. It looks neat and I haven't had any bad experiences so far. The thing about these kind of products is, you never know until something bad happens. But now, everything seems to be alright.
Oh, by the way, never expect to use it like an extension cord. The wire is way too short for that. But again, it's worth the money.
chaep and small, very small October 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this is a very cheaply made item. the holes are very close together making use of an adaptor impractical asi it covers 2-3 of the outlets (depending on adaptor size. i paid 7 and feel ripped, at 4 would have been fair. another big problem is there is no on-off switch nor any lights indicating it is on (i should have looked at the pic)...this is a huge problem for me. my other outlet plugs have a main on-off switch which i find need of many times. seeing how cheap this is, how small, i wonder IF it will really do the job of protecting...how does one ever know until a fatal strike to equipment. i guess one is paying for the belkin name.
Great Service September 24, 2008 I gave it 5 stars not because the product is that outstanding, but the service provided by Amazon Prime is. I bought it via my Prime account and my item arrived as scheduled. However it got stolen from my front door before I could collect it. I called up Amazon and they reissued a new one for me with free one-day shipping. This time I was at home to receive it and the product is working fine for me.
