Amazon.com Product Description One of the most advanced chronograph watches made by Citizen, the Eco-Drive Calibre 2100 men's titanium watch also offers stylish lines that nicely complement both business and casual couture. The chronograph timing function includes 60-minute, 12-hour, and independent second-hand subdials, as well as a center sweep 1/5-second hand. It also has a reset button that instantly returns all the chronograph registers to zero. The watch case and bracelet band links are made of titanium--which is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel, but 30 percent stronger. It's also particularly resistant to salt water corrosion, as well as hypo-allergenic--perfect for those with metal allergies. This large, round watch has a thin, flattened bezel with an exterior tachymeter reading in gray. The patterned dark gray dial face is accented by black subdials, and it offers white luminous Dauphine hands (with seconds hand) and a date function at 4 o'clock. The bracelet band is joined by a push-button clasp. Other features include a screw-back case, screw-down crown, scratch resistant mineral crystal with anti-reflective coating, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet). This watch is powered by Citizen's unique Eco-Drive, which absorbs sunlight and any artificial light through the crystal and dial to recharge the watch continuously. With regular exposure to light, the Eco-Drive continuously recharges itself for a lifetime of use. This watch's Eco-Drive provides a 240-day power reserve, and it can be recharged with just 3.5 hours of exposure to light. Eco-Drive Frequently Asked Questions How can you tell if the Eco-Drive watch is getting enough light? In normal use, the watch displays the time and the sweep-second hand moves in one second intervals. A very important feature of Eco-Drive is the Low Charge Warning Mode which as a result of low battery voltage, causes the second hand to jump two seconds at a time (while still keeping correct time). How long will an Eco-Drive watch run after it is fully charged? If your watch is put away where no light is available to it while in a fully charged state, depending on the model, it will run for from 45 days to 5 years. How can the Eco-Drive watch be recharged? Besides sunlight, it can be safely charged by exposing it to a fluorescent desk lamp, with the dial (face) up and within about 8 inches or an incandescent lamp (regular light bulb) no closer than 20 inches. Never use a halogen lamp since the heat generated by it can cause damage to your watch. The most efficient and the quickest is in direct bright sunlight (not windowsill) and never on the dashboard of a car. Warranty It's backed by Citizen's 5-year warranty (from original date of purchase). About Citizen One of the world's largest watch makers, the Citizen Watch Company was founded in 1924 in Japan from its beginnings as the Shokosha Watch Research Institute. The first watch released by the company was named "CITIZEN" and its name was selected so that it would be "close to the hearts of people everywhere." Today, Citizen is recognized as a worldwide leader in advanced timepiece technology, from the world's slimmest LCD watch to the first voice recognition watch to the world's first professional dive watch with an electronic depth sensor. Citizen was also the first to sell watches made with titanium in the world, which is not only light and durable but also non-allergenic (as stainless steel can be to some wearers). Most recently, Citizen has released watches powered by its Eco-Drive, which runs continuously in any kind of natural light or artificial light for a lifetime of use without changing a battery.

Not so durable September 9, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Had watch for one week before one of the reflectors separated from above the 2 dial. Returned product for a full refund. It is a shame. A very nice watch otherwise. But for $450, I don't want to have to worry about my watch breaking.
citizen review September 3, 2008 it's a great watch.i'm shocked that a i haven't put a scratch on it yet.i wear it all the time.i work in the yard i lift weights and it gets banged around alot, and still looks like new.
Nice and Light watch June 24, 2008 I just purchased this watch today. Picked it up for $420 (441 w/tax) from Kay's. Cheaper than Amazon. Its much lighter than the stainless steel version like a quarter of the weight. It has a brushed steel look and isn't shiny like the AV0031 models. It has a nice bulky look, although the glass should have been sapphire instead of mineral.
Citizen should have made the date in line with 3 pm insead of 4:30. Thats my only problem with the watch. I would recommend the lighter version over the cheaper flashier stainless steel one. Its a $75 difference.
Best chronograph I ever owned May 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had this watch for about a year now and I can't tell you how much I love this watch. I bought the sapphire version from Singapore for around $600 which is model AV0020-55H as I am very rough on watches and sapphire is a must.
I own many brands of watches including Citizen, Seiko, Baume & Mercier, TAG Heuer, Omega, Citizen Campanola and let me tell you, this watch gets more wrist time than any other watch I own. Sometimes I try to wear my expensive pieces as I paid a lot of money for them and feel like I need to justfy the price but always find myself going back to this one as it looks cool and is very comfortable to wear.
The reason is that this watch has everything from a super accurate movement which contains 294 parts and 3 stepping rotors when most watches have one(just to give you an idea how complicated this watch is). I also like and use the chronograph a lot. The chrono also has a mechanical feel which is real nice. I also like that its Eco Drive as well as titanium which light and strong. This is the 1st watch I ever bought in my life that I wear 24/7...i just love it.
So far, WOW March 16, 2008 Just returned from a trip to Germany. I was looking for a cronograph and ran across this ECO drive. Overthere it lists for 695.00 Euros, on Amazon.de I found it for 585.00 Euros wich is equivilent to $ 850.00. Yes it may have a saphire cristal, but 400 dollars more, insane. I ordered it while I still was in Germany so it would be at my house when I returned, from the good old American "Amazon.com" and Amazon gets five stars from me too. As mentioned by others, the watch is very light, but the glass and the guts have the normal weight, but it is OK and not bothersome. Oh yes, it keeps time too and the 12 hour cronograph is what I was looking for. Happy and smiling, John.
