Amazon.com Product Description Sporting a rotating slide rule bezel, the Citizen Skyhawk A-T stainless steel men's flight watch offers advanced timing functions and the latest technology. It's powered by Citizen's unique Eco-Drive, which absorbs sunlight and any artificial light through the crystal and dial to recharge the watch continuously. The fast-forward timekeeping features include time and calendar in 43 cities, thirty cities, three world time alarms, a 99-minute countdown timer, one-touch interchangeable analog/digital time, and 1/100-second chronograph that measures up to 24 hours. The large round silver stainless steel case measures 48mm (1.89 inches) wide and 16mm (0.63 inches) deep. The black dial background features large white hands with luminous tips as well as luminous square dial markers. It's completed by a stylish multi-link stainless steel braclet band. Other features include water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--which will stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving. Eco-Drive Frequently Asked Questions How can you tell if the Eco-Drive watch is getting enough light? In normal use, the watch displays the time and the sweep-second hand moves in one second intervals. A very important feature of Eco-Drive is the Low Charge Warning Mode which as a result of low battery voltage, causes the second hand to jump two seconds at a time (while still keeping correct time). How long will an Eco-Drive watch run after it is fully charged? If your watch is put away where no light is available to it while in a fully charged state, depending on the model, it will run for from 45 days to 5 years. How can the Eco-Drive watch be recharged? Besides sunlight, it can be safely charged by exposing it to a fluorescent desk lamp, with the dial (face) up and within about 8 inches or an incandescent lamp (regular light bulb) no closer than 20 inches. Never use a halogen lamp since the heat generated by it can cause damage to your watch. The most efficient and the quickest is in direct bright sunlight (not windowsill) and never on the dashboard of a car.

Love it, but would never buy it again November 5, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a beautiful and multifunctional watch. It is also about as easy to operate as the space shuttle. I am generally a pretty handy guy, but the instructions for this watch read like old VCR instructions. It set the time automatically when I first received it as a wedding present a month ago, but has not done so since. You cannot manually set the time like you can with any other watch by simply pulling out the crown, there is a long procedure to do it. Even the jeweler where I bought it (who owns a similar eco drive) took 30 minutes to fix the time after I reset the time for my honeymoon to Mexico. Now, it won't "automatically reset" after daylight savings, even though it was set to do so.
Not worth it, don't buy it.
One of the best watches ever October 28, 2008 I Bought this for my self for a early Christmas Gift. I have been looking around and pricing atomic watches for a few years now. When I saw this watch I fell in love with it. I like to SCUBA dive and all though I would had love to had seen it been more then 200 Meters (500 Meters would had been perfect). The watch is user proof in that if you set something up wrong you can reset the entire watch back to factory settings. The CD that came with it helped with setting it up and adjusting the settings. The steel one is heavy very heavy, when you put it on you know you have it on. The watch band is great because most tend to grab the hair on my arms, and when I take them off hair comes off, but not with this one. The band does not grab my arm hair which is a plus. The watch is solar powered with a built in rechargeable battery. The watch will run according to the booklet about 5 months on battery only.
Citizen Men's Skyhawk Watch September 30, 2008 This was my first purchase from Amazon.Com and I could not be more satisfied! The site was very user friendly and my purchase arrived in 3-4 days via UPS. Product is superior, UPS was great (love their tracking system), and I plan to use Amazon.Com for future purchases!!
One Of The Best Watches I Have EVER Owned September 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Being a serious watch collector for many years I own many different brands of watches, ranging from Rolex, Omega, Movado down to Seiko, this Citizen Skyhawk is the BEST all around watch I own, I wear this particular watch proudly about 80% of the time and I use this watch to set all my other watches, this is the most dependable watch I know of, this watch NEVER needs a time adjustment. For the watch lover who likes people to see what they are wearing trust me on this one, people WILL notice this gorgeous watch! Best money I have ever spent on a watch!
performs as advertised August 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
after reading the other reviews, I ordered it, and it does what is advertised.the only drawback is the readability of the lcd.it is fine when you have it on your wrist, and you look at it,from an angle of 45 degrees, down, which is the usual way you would, however, when you look down at it,from the other side, say 45 degrees up, the lcd completely disappears.I wonder if this is as should be,or if its just my watch... everything else works fine.
